If it wasn't for him, they wouldn't have been in the playoffs...the rest of the team choked too, they didn't step up and everyone lays the blame on A rod...he performs and gets his team to the playoffs, the rest of the team steps up and they win. And with the additions to the pitching staff and now tex, thats why.

If they win, more people show up to watch...more tickets and merchandise is sold. Even though the Yanks didn't make it to the playoffs, they still sold out the stadium because of it being the last year. The Yanks win (not so much the past few years) but the win, thats why they have money.
